Minnesota United FC have signed forward Marcus Caldeira, the club announced Wednesday. The 21-year-old Canadian is under contract through 2026, with options for the 2027 sprint season, as well as 2027-28 and 2028-29 seasons.
What happened?
Minnesota drafted Caldeira No. 20 overall in the 2024 MLS SuperDraft as he starred at West Virginia University. During his senior year, he tallied 14g/7a, was named the Sun Belt Player of the Year, a First-Team All-American and a MAC Hermann Trophy semifinalist.
